He's had a rough time of it in the last five years, both with his own health and the death of a dear friend of his. It's such a relief to see him cackling away and being his usual humorous self once again.
His is truly a story of courage and fortitude - he will experience problems with his health for the rest of his life but he hasn't given up, despite some very dark times. My admiration also goes out to his wife Elaine who has stuck by him through sickness and health.
It's good to know there are people like this still.
