These are some things I learnt:
1. Metamorphic rock came from magma which was squeezed upwards. (To cut a long story short)
2. What Pine Marten poo looks like.
3. People who throw themselves off a waterfall in a kayak are extremely insane.
4. My cousin Nathan is now about 6 foot 5 and is one of those people who throws themselves down rapids in a kayak.
5. What an alder and aspen leaf looks like.
6. About Culloden
7. About the Clearances
8. About forest conservation and why big estate owners don't often do it. (ans=deer equals money deer also equals no baby trees)
9. How to spot a baby tree and a resuscitating forest.
10. Some of the rotting stumps are 1000s of years old.
11. What a bronze age chambered cairn looks like from the inside
12. Which 'official' 'original' Loch-Ness visitor attraction was first. (Clue = it's not the 'original' one.)
13. My Aunty Gib is a damn good cook.
This is where my photos are if you want a look: [link]
